In her work for NRDC’s Land & Wildlife program, Sharon Buccino has spearheaded litigation that challenged oil and gas drilling in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah, and led the fight to stop new coal mining outside of Utah’s Bryce Canyon National Park. Her more recent work focuses on energy policy and government transparency. Prior to joining NRDC, she practiced environmental and administrative law with a private firm in Washington, D.C. and worked for the Alaska Supreme Court. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a JD from Stanford Law School. Buccino works in the Washington, D.C., office.
