Shruti Shukla
Shruti Shukla works on international energy transition strategies at the intersection of climate, energy, and global policy. Her work focuses on clean energy deployment, electricity systems, digital infrastructure, and fossil fuel transition, with particular attention to how emerging technologies and rising electricity demand intersect with energy security, affordability, and climate goals. She engages with policymakers, investors, companies, and civil society organizations on issues including power sector decarbonization, gas and LNG expansion, and the energy implications of data centers and artificial intelligence. Before joining NRDC, Shukla led external engagement and policy initiatives at the Global Wind Energy Council. She holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Delhi and is based in Washington, D.C.
